I am considering obtaining an Arizona concealed weapons permit. What do I do?
The doctor can help! Stephen “Doc” Graham both administers training and applies for your CCW through Arizona Alcohol Traffic & Firearms.
You must complete an 8-hour initial CCW course to obtain a certificate of completion for your CCW application. Register for an 8-hour CCW course here.
Applications are typically processed and permits issued/mailed within fourteen days of receipt. However, it can take up to 60 business days to complete all of the required qualification checks.
Once obtained, you are responsible for maintaining your CCW. Arizona CCW permits are valid for five years and can be renewed by mailing a renewal application and payment. The Concealed Weapon Permit Unit (CWPU) mails a courtesy renewal packet to customers whose permits are due to expire.
